  • When should I book?
As soon as possible! Please call or book online early to reserve your session.
  • How much does it cost?
Please see my Investment page for more pricing details.
  • Can I reschedule or cancel a session?
Yes! Sessions can be rescheduled without penalty - however, within 24hrs of your shoot date only 50% will be applied towards a future date, and within 12 hrs, 0% will be applied. I recommend rescheduling your session instead of cancelling, but understand that sometimes things just don’t work out.
  • Are weekend sessions available?
Yes! Saturday and Sunday sessions are available and in fact - I prefer it!. Because of limited availability, these sessions are often reserved weeks to months in advance (especially Sept-Nov).
  • Where do we hold the session?
As part of the portrait experience, sessions can be held at your home. For outdoor images, we can create the images in your yard, a local park or other scenic location. If a location requires a fee to enter, you will be responsible for that cost. Premium outdoor themed sets are also available for an additional cost. Please plan on an early morning or late afternoon time frame for any outdoor images.
  • Is there a travel fee?
Sessions planned outside of a 15 mile radius of Woodstock GA will incur an additional travel surcharge of $25 or a $50 surcharge of 25 miles or more.
  • What should we wear?
I would recommend staying with solid, muted colors and avoiding bold prints or large logos. For family portraits, it's helpful if everyone is wearing similar colors and styles, but don't put everyone in identical clothing! Jewelry and accessories should be minimal.
  • When can I see my images?
Your image previews will be ready in a few days after your photo shoot and will be sent to you in a private online gallery for up to 12 months. You are welcome to share this gallery with anyone you wish. Your order should be submitted before the gallery expires.
  • May I order more portraits in the future?
Of course! Your session images are archived for 12 months from the date of your session. Reorders are charged at the current prices in effect at the time your future order is placed.
  • Do you offer prints?
Not at this time, however you are free to take you purchased digitals and print them with reputable online providers such as shutterfly.com, snapfish.com, etc.
  • What other details do I need to know?
Erik Rank Photography retains the full copyright of all images. It is illegal to scan, copy, or otherwise reproduce any images without express written permission. Erik reserves the right to use images in promotional materials, including brochures, website, and photographic competitions.
  • I have a specific location in mind for my session, can we use it?
Absolutely, however most sessions are done in a private Canton, Marietta or Woodstock based studio. I can conduct sessions in alternative locations such as hotels, on farms, in private households or AirBnbs (at your own cost).
  • I don't even know you, can we meet before I book?
Absolutely! We can meet in person, over the phone or via Facetime time to discuss any concerns or questions you may have - as well as review any inspirations images you have so I can get a better idea of what you have in mind for a shoot.
  • I like your work, how do I book my session?
If you have a specific time and date in mind, please give me a call or shoot me an email to confirm availability - but you can schedule online. A 50% non-refundable retainer is due at time of booking.
  • Can I cancel my session if something comes up?
Sure, but I would be heartbroken! Sessions can be rescheduled without penalty - however, within 24hrs of your shoot date only 50% will be applied towards a future date, and within 12 hrs, 0% will be applied. This is to compensate the studio as well as the makeup and styling artist for blocking off your shoot date. I recommend rescheduling your session instead of cancelling, but understand that sometimes things just don’t work out.
  • I have a few "inspiration" images, can I send them to you?
Absolutely. Please send me any images that inspire you. While I do not duplicate images, I do use your inspiration images to give me direction as to the style and posing you love! This way you have one-of-a-kind images that line up with your vision.
  • What do I wear for my session?
Traditionally the wardrobe associated with boudoir sessions is centered around lingerie. As boudoir gains more popularity, the wardrobe associated with the sessions is evolving! Are you not a lingerie person? Bring in an oversized sweater, a slinky dress, a sheer robe or go nude!
  • Who will be at my session?
Your boudoir session will be a closed event. You and I will be the only people at your session. Your hair and makeup artist will be there for a few images in the beginning to make sure that everything looks great on camera!
  • When will I get to see my photos?
During your session you will get to see your photos as we take them. Following the day of your shoot, I will send 1-2 images of my choice to see just how great things went. Within 1-2 weeks of your session, your final retouched images will be ready for view via a secure on-line password protected gallery.
  • I'm not a size 4 or 6. Can you flatter all women?
Yes! You could be a size 2 or 22. Size doesn't matter! This experience is for any everyday woman to feel beautiful.
  • Can I bring a friend or significant other?
I ask that you do not bring any friends or significant others to your session. My ability to focus on capturing gorgeous images of you will be interrupted and definitely lacking.
  • Ok, so no friends. Can I bring my friend champaign?
    Sure!
  • I'm super awkward in front of the camera. How do I overcome that for this shoot?
Take a breath, you got this! That nervousness and awkwardness will likely be there in the beginning, but will soon fade away. As we go from pose to pose, you will start having fun and forget about the nerves! Feel free to bring a bottle of wine, champagne to drink while you’re getting ready in the hair and makeup chair or during your session.
  • Do I need to know how to pose?
Absolutely not! You’re hiring me, remember? I’ll instruct you the entire way, giving you specific directions on what to do with your body/hands/face/ etc.
  • Will you photoshop me?
It depends on what you mean by photoshop. Would you like for me to smooth out your skin, remove a few blemishes, or a remove a tattoo… I can absolutely do that!
  • Can I do my makeup and hair or bring my own stylist?
Absolutely! I do offer discounts for this - please call to inquire!
  • Are you going to post my images?
I respect your privacy. You will need to give me permission in order to post. This is contractual agreement signed before the shoot.
  • I don't even like being naked in the shower, do I have to get naked for my shoot?
Not at all. You can reveal as much or little of yourself as you feel comfortable.
  • How long does a session last?
My boudoir sessions last about 2 hours (excluding hair and makeup time). I would plan on 3-4 hours from start to finish.
  • Why does it cost so much?
There are a number of factors (and people) that help make your shoot successful. This includes your hair and make-up artist as well as the studio location. There also is considerable amount of time editing following the shoot. With each session you get the following: On-site Professional Make-up and Dry Hair Styling Professional Posing and Expression Coaching 20 Professionally Retouched Digital Images w/ Print Release (additional images are $25 each)
